Name: Anna Glory Age / Year: 15/Fifth Birthday: May 13 House: Ravenclaw LJ name: glory_fied PB: Zooey Deschanel Appearance: Dark brown hair, light, sharp blue eyes, 5'3"-ish, fairly built History and Upbringing: Anna was born to Kathleen Glory and Zachary Reynolds. Zachary Reynolds was just a muggle-born, while Kathleen was a pureblood - she had a one-night stand with him out of pure rebelness. She regretted it and found out she was pregnant a few weeks later. She reluctantly kept Anna and was slowly shunned by her family. This influenced Anna a lot because Kathleen subtly - and not so subtly - blamed her exile from pureblood society on her birth. Anna tries to please her mother by doing everything she can that is deemed "acceptable" in society... good grades, perfect dress, perfect body, ettiquette, etc. She was raised to believe that she should never marry anyone but a pureblood and to always think before she acts. Although she tries to please Kathleen, she was never close to her - thus, the household was usually quiet. Raised with purebloodedness in mind, she was taught that everything should go her way - but she's not adamant about it like a few people she's seen. Anna has an unfortunate trait of acting like a counselor, maybe because of her curiosity that landed her into Ravenclaw. She's friendly to most people who are nice to her, but if you upset her, she will show her temper. Her attitude toward her mother is particulary strange; sometimes, she rages on and on about her and how she acts and treats her, but she has somewhat of a strange loyalty to her, as Kathleen is her mother. |
| School Life and Role in the Plot |
| Again, her mother has a subtle impact on her lifestyle at Hogwarts. She doesn't play Quidditch, is a prefect, and vies for Head Girl. Anna tries to excel in all her classes, but is unfortunately, abysmal, at Transfiguration. Sometimes, she wonders why she was sorted into Ravenclaw, but as the hat said, she was sorted because she showed absolute potential and had a sharp wit. Some Slytherins know her as "the illegimate child" and she absolutely despises the name. Although she doesn't play Quidditch, she will, out of house loyalty, support the Ravenclaw team, and as she promised to Albus Severus Potter, support the Slytherin team if it comes down to Gryffindor vs. Slytherin. Her attention in guys flits from one person to another quickly, as she talks to most people and tries to get to know most people, but she has recently made friends with Hugo Weasley. There might be a little romantic potential going on there. (He complimented her smile~!) Anna's role all comes down to whether she wants to shake off the idea of pleasing her mother so much. She's heard of genetic engineering, and what it's planned to do, but she doesn't have an opinion right now. She will, gradually, know that it's hard to please her mother and that she can't do that her entire life, so she decides to fight against it. |
